This listing is for a set of  5 vintage wooden spools wound with naturally dyed silk embroidery thread.
This silk thread is non-divisible.
The amount of naturally dyed silk thread on each spool measures approximately 20 yards.
These threads were dyed with combinations of indigo, cochineal and madder, resulting in dark, medium, and light shades of purple, lilac-pink,and  lavender.

These silk threads were hand dyed and wound by me onto each vintage wooden spool.
The winding is not "machine-uniform"
Since these wooden spools have been previously used, they may have nicks, dents, and missing or damaged labels.
Please remember that each computer monitor displays color in its' own way.

These naturally dyed silk threads are perfect any textile art project that could use a touch of lovely, natural color.
I recommend hand washing in cool water with mild soap and line drying in the shade to preserve the delicate luster and color of the silk.
These wooden spools wrapped with naturally dyed silk thread would be a lovely addition to a vintage spool collection.
