This group of 6 naturally dyed raw silk pieces were hand dyed by me with natural indigo and madder root dyes.
The fabric has a nubby, substantial, almost cottony texture.
These fabrics have some unintended speckles and areas of inconsistent color.
From left to right
*The red piece was dyed with madder roots and measures about 14" x 22".
*The red and orange piece was dyed with madder roots and measures about 16" x 20".
*The lighter blue indigo dyed piece measures about 11" x 22".
*The medium dark indigo piece measures about 15" x 20".
**The light pinkish-tan piece was dyed with madder roots and measures about 14" x 18".
The pink piece was dyed with madder roots and measures approximately 12" x 24".

I've done my best to portray the true colors of these naturally dyed silk pieces.
The colors seem to shift slightly depending on the light in which they are seen.
Please keep in mind that each monitor displays color in its' own way.

These fabrics can be used for any textile art project to add a touch of lovely, natural color.
I recommend hand washing in cool water with mild soap and line drying in the shade to preserve the texture and color of the silk.
