This unusual Christmas stocking is a patchwork of natural indigo-dyed fabric, patterned blue and cream silk, and dark blue cotton velvet.
Some of the fabrics in this Christmas stocking have been re-purposed from decorative pillows and silk scarves, so there may be slight inconsistencies in the fabric.
The color ranges from very light to deep, dark indigo blue.
The cotton fabrics were hand - dyed by me in shades of indigo blue.
Natural indigo dye creates a subtle depth of color unlike any other. Here it blends beautifully with the delicate pattern of the silk fabric and the shades of deep blue velvet.
( The little white speckles are snowflakes - It began to snow while I took these pictures. )

The batting is soft, natural cotton.
It is fully lined with blue-violet floral cotton and has a loop for hanging.
The measurements are approximately 19" from the top to the heel, 11" from the toe to the heel, and 10" across the opening at the top.
I recommend dry cleaning this stocking.
