This unusual patchwork quilt was pieced from dozens of pairs of blue jeans.
The design is a variation of the traditional log cabin pattern, known as "Touching Stars".

The colors range from pale blue to deep midnight blue
Some of the "logs" are pieced from patterned denim fabrics which include stripes and checks.
In the center of each block is a little square of rich brown denim.
This beautiful deep brown material is used throughout the entire quilt.
The backing is a brown swirl -patterned cotton fabric.
The measurements are approximately 57" x 57".

All of the fabrics used in the "face" of this quilt have been recycled.

There are two layers of polyester batting for loft and lightness since blue jean quilts are pretty heavy already.
It is lightly machine quilted along seam lines for durability.

Just for fun, I've scattered hand- quilted milkweed seeds across the face of this quilt.

This little log cabin quilt is perfect for a smaller bed, to toss on the couch, or to take along camping.

The material is really strong but soft.
I've made many blue jean quilts for family, friends and for sale. They have held up to lots of rough treatment and maintain their beauty and strength as they mellow through the years.

This quilt may be washed and dried by machine.

* Please be aware that although mathematical precision and perfectly matched seams are my eventual goal, they are not the main focus of my quilts.

* The stitching is not perfect, but the colors and textures are!
Each of my quilts is truly one of a kind, handmade with care, but they are not "factory-uniform".
My goals are vibrant, expressive colors, rich textures, interesting designs and durability.
Still, practice makes perfect, and since I'm constantly at work on a quilt, I expect that one of these days I'll create straighter seams and more perfect stitches!
