These 5 naturally dyed silk fabric pieces were dyed by me with madder roots, indigo leaves, and logwood bark dyes..
The colors include shades of pale lavender on lightweight silk gauze, mottled purple and warm pink on crepe de chine, and speckled lavender-gray and white on habotai silk.
The silk gauze fabric is very sheer - transparent when flat, but it shows the naturally dyed colors beautifully when it's folded or scrunched. The crepe de chine is thicker with a lovely texture. The habotai silk is 8mm and medium weight.
The sizes of these silk fabric pieces are approximately
*Mottled purple crepe de chine 14" x 18"
*Speckled lavender-gray and white habotai 15" x 20"
*Pale lavender silk gauze 16" x 19"
*Pink crepe de chine 14" x 14". This color was very hard to photograph. The second and fifth pictures show it most accurately.
**Speckled lavender-gray and white habotai 16" x 20"
I've done my best to portray the true natural colors of these silks.
Please remember that each computer monitor displays color in its' own way.

These fabrics are perfect for any textile art project to add a touch of light, natural color.
I recommend hand washing in cool water with mild soap or shampoo and line drying in the shade to preserve the delicate luster and color of the silk.
They may be carefully ironed with medium heat.
